Style | Tommy Hilfiger at Specsavers

I've been wearing glasses since my college days after realising during one class I couldn't actually see what the tutor had written on the whiteboard. After struggling for a few days and asking the students around me if I could copy their notes, I eventually booked an appointment with an optician. My reluctance in wanting glasses stemmed from not liking a lot of the styles offered at the time and I've since been through a fair number of glasses as a result.

Most days I end up wearing contacts and reserve my glasses for when I'm at home as finding glasses that suit what I wear (which generally has a retro-feel lately) and my face shape has been a little tricky in the past. got in touch about their Tommy Hilfiger glasses collection* recently and I was instantly drawn to these tortoiseshell glasses. They give me the vintage feel I've been after, work with a lot of my outfits and are comfortable to wear.

Want a pair for yourself? You can find the Tommy Hilfiger collection on the website or in-store.

Style | Jingle Bell Ball with Debenhams

It's been a while since I've seen my legs (or they've seen heels) but it was great to have an excuse to dress up recently for the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball thanks to Debenhams. We had a VIP suite at the O2 to enjoy the evening's acts including Sam Smith, Craig David, Dua Lipa and Rita Ora with a festive party dress code. I'm so indecisive when trying to pick an outfit for an evening so it was good to have such a huge selection of both online and in-store - so whether you want sparkles or something a more understated, you're covered.

Red has been my colour this season - it is Christmas afterall - so I wore this red lace gown by Chi Chi Manchester. I love the off-the-shoulder detail most - it's the only way I've been able to show a little skin in this cold lately! I paired it with these heeled velvet boots and black Dune bag with gold detailing and the new Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint to give the look a kick - go bold or go home right?

Style | #FAMyWay

recently challenged me to style my own look for their FAMyWay campaign. The campaign is all about encouraging women to express themselves through streetwear and has championed a number of female creatives in the process.

I often style myself from the shoe up so with this look I started with a pair of burgundy platform Old Skool . The colour screams Autumnal to me so to carry this through the rest of the look I mixed it with a pair of heritage check dungarees. As the dungarees have an exposed detailing at the sides I added a classic logo tee underneath to complete the outfit and keep the streetwear influence.

You can see more snaps from the shoot and read the full interview on Foot Asylum Womens' blog 'The Lowdown'

If you fancy bagging yourself a £250 gift card and a pair of sneakers from simply upload a snap of yourself look using the #FAmyway on Instagram and follow @footasylumwomens. The competition ends 16th October and the winner will be announced 17th October (please see the Foot Asylum Womens website for all the Ts&Cs)

Style | Adidas Co-Ord

Adidas is one of my favourite sports brands currently and as comfy casual is always the order of the day this jersey two-piece was always going to make it into my wardrobe. It's Adidas without being in your face about it and the embellished eye motif with trefoil logo adds something different - or at least it seems different to the girl with 6 very similar looking logo tees.

I'm planning to see out the rest of the (mildly) warm weather in this pair. On chillier days I just add a denim jacket. The heatwave has cooled off so we're past shorts weather and it's been one of those months where you have sunglasses, an umbrella and a jacket on hand just in case - in other words it's been utterly unpredictable.

Style | Logo Tee & raw hem denim

I'm an explorer at heart but in lieu of a holiday abroad I've been roaming a lot around Manchester. Despite living here my whole life there's just so much I haven't seen and one thing I love about Manchester is there's such a clash of cultures and architecture that so many parts that feel like you're in a different country or era entirely. The backdrop for these photos is one of those spots and for roaming I keep it simple (as with most of what I do), so a tee and denim skirt was a natural fit.

Style | ASOS AW17 Preview

In April global fashion retailer showcased their collection for the AW17 season in Fitzrovia, Manchester and whilst I'm always excited for new clothes I've been sitting on this preview post for a few months. I definitely wasn't ready to let go of Summer before it had even really begun but somehow we're already in August. So with Autumn right around the corner, expect a season with ruffles, florals, tartan and 80s tailoring firmly on the fashion menu.

I didn't document everything here as the ASOS AW17 collection is so huge I focused on the pieces I've got my eye on or may be popular pieces for this season. The vintage washed denim mini skirt will be the first item I'll be picking up when it's available as it's one of those all-rounders that'll work with a lot of what I have already. The gold caged bag, studded boots and green wide leg trousers with taped detail are also earmarked for my wardrobe and I'm in love with the the neutral colour palette of the menswear pieces.

As you'd expect, a few AW17 pieces have already started dropping on the ASOS website but most will be available from September to December.
