The Body Shop Christmas Coconut Collection #Ad

I'm not sure when it happened but I'm now so unorganised when it comes to gifting. I've become the leave all the shopping 'til Christmas eve kinda gal, which can be stressful, but I have a few tricks when it comes to doing gifting last-minute. I like to rely on solid favourites I know a lot of people love, I tend to work off giving what I'd love to receive and if it comes already gift-wrapped, even better.

Body Mist (100ml), Body Scrub (50ml), Shower Cream (250ml), Hand Cream (30ml), Body Butter (200ml)

The Body Shop does this is spades so one of my picks for gifting this year has to be the .* The collection is a gift box with 5 body products inside ideal for the Coconut-lover (or myself) - a shower cream, body scrub, body butter, body mist and hand cream. It's one of my favourite sets from The Body Shop Christmas collection as I've been using items from the Coconut range on and off for the past couple of years. I always go back to them as they make my skin feel so smooth and soft and I adore the subtle sweet scent.

Together the products work so well too. My bodycare routine most days starts with the shower cream with occasional exfoliation with the body scrub concentrating on areas which tend to get dry and discoloured most - my knees and elbows. Out of the shower I'll apply the body butter and mist to finish and the scent has me smelling sweet all day. Throughout the day I like to use the hand cream which has now has taken up permanent residence in my handbag as I always need something to breathe some life back into my winter-beaten hands.

Review | The Body Shop Vitamin E Serum-In-Oil

I've had quite a few dry patches on my face recently so picked up (£13/28ml). This product is a blend of natural oils, including jojoba, wheat germ and sweet almond oil, with a serum. It's a light and silky texture which aims to recharge and moisturise the skin.

When you have oily skin there's often the temptation to only use products devoid of oil, but when I've relied heavily on such products previously they've only served to make my face oilier, irritated and extremely dry in places. I now work on balancing the natural oils on my face (rather than stripping them away completely) and this product is quickly proving to be great for my skin.

I've been using the serum-in-oil every couple of days before bed after cleansing for the past few weeks and it's been keeping my skin really soft and moisturised. The dry areas of my face in particular feel much smoother and even. It's easy to apply, absorbs quickly and doesn't leave my skin greasy.

As Vitamin E is usually great for fading scars I really hoped this serum-in-oil would provide relief from some scarring on my face. So far I've not noticed any improvement but my skin has seemed brighter in general.

I'll definitely continue to use this product nightly to keep it soft and hydrated. I imagine I'll be reaching for this more often as the temperature drops and my skin gets drier.

Have you tried any products from The Body Shop?
